TWQA Offers April WTS Training

Do you need hours to maintain your Water Treatment Specialist certification? Are you preparing for Class 1, II or III exam? TWQA is offering training to help you stay maintain or prepare for your license! Basic Water Conditioning, worth 6 credit hours, is being offered online from April 11-13, from 7:00AM - 9:00AM each day. Advanced Water Conditioning, worth 7 credit hours, is offered from April 25-27, beginning at 7:00AM each day. The April 25 session will last 3 hours with 2-hour sessions on each of the next 2 days. Participants must attend all 3 course sessions to receive credit for the course.

New Deadline for Scholarship Applications

We are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 

2023 JO GRACE TWQA SCHOLARSHIP. 

THE SCHOLARSHIP IS AVAILABLE TO ANY CHILD OR LEGAL DEPENDENT OF TWQA MEMBERS; THIS INCLUDES SUPPLIER MEMBERS AND THEIR EMPLOYEES.

The applicant must be a full time student of an accredited college, university or trade school.  Please remember that past recipients are eligible to apply.

Applications for this year's scholarship will be accepted from now through MARCH 1, 2023, and are available from the San Angelo Foundation website at www.saafound.org .

TWQA Announces 2022 President's Outing!

The annual President's Outing is coming up soon! Join us for a weekend with good friends, and good fishing while learning about developments in Texas' water quality industry!

TWQA is hosting its annual President's Outing from October 1 - 3 in Aransas Pass and Corpus Christi. Participants will meet on Saturday in Aransas Pass, enjoy a day of fishing out of Corpus Christi on Sunday, and then head back home on Monday.

TWQA Offers September WTS Training

TCEQ Not Offering Exams at the TWQA Convention

 On Friday, July 1, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality informed TWQA that no in-person exams will be offered during the 49th Annual TWQA Convention and Exposition in Frisco, TX. All training courses will still be offered. Attendees looking for more information on TCEQ exams can contact TWQA offices by phone at 361.573-6707 or by email at twqadirector@twqa.org.

Hotel Registration Deadline Extended

Still haven't made your hotel reservations for this year's convention? You still have time but its running out soon! On Friday, July 1,  the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Hotel and Convention Center agreed to extend the hotel reservation date to Friday, July 8.

2022 TWQA Convention is Coming!

 The 49th Annual TWQA Convention and Exposition is coming to Frisco, Texas this summer! From July 25 through 28, the Texas Water Quality Association will be holding its annual convention and exposition. In addition to in-person training for all TCEQ certified courses (Basic Water Conditioning, Advanced Water Conditioning and Basic and Advanced Math), a series of business and technical sessions will offer insights into the latest industry technologies and trends.

TWQA Announces Dates for April WTS Training

 The Texas Water Quality Association (TWQA) is pleased to announce it's upcoming Water Treatment Specialist Training for April 2022. Both the Basic and the Advanced Water Conditioning courses will be offered via online training sessions. Each course will be delivered over 3 days:

Basic Water Conditioning will be delivered beginning April 19 and ending April 21. All sessions are required and will begin promptly at 7:00AM and end at 9:00 each day.

Advanced Water Conditioning will be delivered from April 26-28, beginning at 7:00 AM. The 1st session will end at 10:00 AM; the remaining sessions will end at 9:00 AM.

Participants must attend all three sessions and should plan on joining the sessions a few minutes early to ensure timely course delivery.

TWQA Announces January WTS Training

The dates for TWQA's January Water Treatment Specialist training have  been released and registrations are open! 

Both Basic and Advanced Water Conditioning are being offered as 3-day online training sessions, hosted by TWQA instructors using Webex meeting tools. Participants are reminded that they must attend all 3 daily sessions to get credit for the course. Basic Water Conditioning training will be conducted on January 11, 12 and 13. The Advanced Water Conditioning course will meet January 18, 19 and 20.

Members Encounter New Internet Phishing Scam!

The Association has been alerted to a new internet scam targeting our members. Some members have received emails suggesting that the 'TWQA 2021 Mailing List' is now available'.

TWQA does not sell our member or attendee lists. 

This email is what is known as a 'phishing scam'. The 'Reply To' address references an web domain that does not exist. Do NOT reply to this email. Replying to this email opens recipients to potential computer attacks from the sender. 

If you receive such an email, please ignore it. Again, DO NOT REPLY OR FORWARD this email to anyone. Just delete the email.

TWQA Offers Online Advanced WTS Training in February

The Texas Water Quality Association is conducting an online Advanced Water Conditioning course beginning February 2 2021. The course will be delivered via 1 3-hour and 2 2-hour training sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, February 2, 3 and 4. Each session will begin promptly at 8:00 AM. The first session will end at 11:00 AM, the remaining sessions will complete at 10:00 AM. Registered participants will receive an email with a link to the online training sessions.

Please note that participants must attend all days to receive credit for the course and each participant must have a separate email address, and respond to polling questions and chat conversations, so that the instructor can verify participation.

October Advanced Water Conditioning Training Rescheduled

TWQA has rescheduled the October 2020 Advanced Water Conditioning class for October 27, 28 and 29. In addition to the change in dates, the class times have also changed. Class will begin at 7:00AM on October 27 and at 8:00AM on October 28 and 29. As before, all classes will be delivered using WebEx. Please plan on joining the WebEx call a few minutes early so the classes can begin on time and stay on schedule.

All registered participants have been confirmed for the new dates. All participants must be able to attend all three days to get credit for the course.
