The TWQA office has recently received several consumer complaints regarding the actions of an unidentified person or persons in the San Antonio area who is/are soliciting consumers using the attached cards. (see attached to this email). The unidentified person or persons is/are reportedly offering a water test in a manner that implies the TWQA’s involvement or endorsement.

In addition, at least one of the individuals handing out these cards identified herself as an official of the TWQA, using a vest with the association’s logo.
Offering a water test is not a problem in and of itself. However, since the TWQA does not participate in or provide endorsements for any particular water test, the above-described actions are highly inappropriate and a violation of the TWQA Ethics Code.
